          Our Mission

The mission of Friends is to promote the use, understanding, knowledge, growth, development, operation, and management of Moosehorn NWR and the refuge system of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.

Friends is an independent non-profit organization committed to the programs and activities of Moosehorn NWR to accomplish its goals and objectives for the enhancement of of wildlife populations and their habitats

The refuge wants to support more wildlife dependent activities:  wildlife observations, education, interpretation, hunting, fishing, and photography.  The Refuge needs a support group and partner to effectively participate in these activities.

Thus, the Friends was organized to establish partnerships, receive grants, and develop community support and volunteer participation to allow the Refuge to provide additional educational, interpretative, and recreational opportunities and still conduct its essential primary wildlife management objectives.

Our aim is to actively pursue the development of volunteer programs at the Refuge and other purposes pursuant to the successful realization of the objectives and purposes of the Refuge.  Please join the Friends to  assist in conducting these important programs.

Your membership and participation is vital to Moosehorn NWR and wildlife management.  Help us leave a positive legacy to our children and for generations to come.
